Able Seaman Adolph Edward Svendson was a Welsh sailor of the Royal Navy who died during the First World War.
He was born on 3 August 1896, in Cardiff, the son of Swedish-born Adolph, a coal trimmer in 1911, and Edith Alice Svendson. At the time of the 1911 Census, the Svendson family were residing at 146 Holton Road, Barry.
Svendson died on 22 December 1917, when the destroyer HMS Acasta suffered a collision in the English Channel, with the loss of two other sailors.
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Plymouth Naval Memorial.
