Lance Corporal Albert Alfred Oscar Remmos was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1890, in Finchley, the son of German parents Gustave, a cabinet maker by trade, and Paulina Loiusa Dorothy Remmos. At the time of the 1911 census, the younger Remmos was working as a dress cutter while living with his family at 57 Hampden Street, Ardwick.

Remmos died on 1 July 1916, on the opening day of the Somme Offensive, while serving with the 17th Battalion, The Manchester Regiment. He had enlisted aged 24 and arrived on the Western Front in November 1915.[1] An older brother, Gustave, a serjeant in the Royal Army Medical Corps, died in 1918.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Thiepval Memorial.
