Second Lieutenant Alexander ("Alec") Marchetti was an English officer of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1894, in Salford, the son of Greek-born George, an East India merchant, and Alexandra Marchetti (née Petrocochino), born in India to Greek parents. Marchetti studied at Westminster School, and joined the Public School Corps after the outbreak of war with Germany.
Marchetti died on 15 March 1916, on the Western Front, while serving with the 2nd Battalion, The Prince Consort's Own (Rifle Brigade), attached from the regiment's 5th Battalion. His brother, Eustratius, died on the Somme, on 8 November 1916.
He is buried in Rue-du-Bois Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix.
