Rifleman Alfred Samuel Posner was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1889, in Lewisham, the son of Polish parents Benjamin, a cigarette maker by profession, and Julia Posner. At the time of the 1911 census, the younger Posner was working as a hairdresser while living with relatives at 83 Mount Pleasant Lane, Upper Clapton.
Posner died on 6 December 1917, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with the 18th (County of London) Battalion (London Irish Rifles),
He is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery.
