Lance Corporal Alphonso Blasi, who served as Alfred Blassy, was a soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born c. 1896, in Spain, the son of Nicholas and Bertha Cherubini de Blasi, of Italy and Portugal, respectively. At the time of the 1911 census, Blasi was living with his family at 52 Kenilworth Road, Kilburn. On his enlistment, he claimed his place of birth to be Kensal Rise.
Blasi died on 20 November 1917, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with the 2/8th Battalion, The Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment).
He is buried in Fins New British Cemetery, Sorel-le-Grand.
