Private Antonio ("Anthony") Deveto (or Devito) was an Anglo-Italian solider of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in Italy, the son of Cosimo, a piano organ player when in England, and Mary Deveto. At the time of the 1911 census, Antonio was performing as a street musician with his family while living at 8 Brownlow Street, Preston. He married, in 1914, to Bessie Taylor.

Deveto died on 11 April 1917, during the Battle of Arras, while serving on the Western Front with the 10th (Service) Battalion, The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He had formerly belonged to the Royal Field Artillery. On his enlistment, Deveto gave his place of birth as Preston.[1] A younger brother, Francis, died after the war, in 1919, while serving as a lance corporal in the Border Regiment.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Arras Memorial.
