Private Antony Henry Samuel Wassmer was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in London, in 1887, the son of German-born hairdresser Anton Emil L. and Therese Wassmer (née Schulze), of London. At the time of the 1911 census, Wassmer was stationed in India with the 17th Lancers (Duke of Cambridge's Own).
Wassmer died on 30 October 1914, during the First Battle of Ypres, while serving with his regiment on the Western Front.
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Menin Gate Memorial.
