Barnet Goldstein

Rifleman Barnet Goldstein was an English soldiier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1894, at Mile End, the son of Lithuanian parents Charles and Rachael Goldstein, who, in 1911, were working as a boot finisher and fur liner, respectively. At the time of the 1911 census, Goldstein was working as a silversmith and living with his family at 60 New Road, Stepney.

Goldstein died on 30 October 1917, during the Third Battle of Ypres, while serving with the 2/8th (City of London) Battalion (Post Office Rifles), The London Regiment on the Western Front.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Tyne Cot Memorial.
