Corporal Barnett Podolsky was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the Second World War.
He was born in 1912, in Whitechapel, the son of Russian-born parents Samuel, a tailor, and Annie Podolsky (née Cherklin), a furrier liner.
Podolsky died on 20 January 1944, during the First Battle of Monte Cassino, while serving with the 8th Battalion, The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) in the Italian Campaign.
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Cassino Memorial.
