Private Benjamin Israel was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1898, in Whitechapel, the son of Michael, a public stage carriage conductor in 1911, and Hannah Israel (née Cohen). At the time of the 1911 Census, Israel was living with his family at 234 K Block, Brady Street Buildings.
Israel died on 4 October 1918, on the Western Front, while serving with the 22nd (County of London) Battalion (The Queen's), The London Regiment. He had previously belonged to the regiment's 2/6th Battalion.
He is buried in Aubers Ridge British Cemetery, Aubers.
