This category applies to individuals who were resident or born in the United Kingdom. More than 100,000 British Jews served in the British Armed Forces during the two world wars. At least 4,000 died. The British Army formed a number of specifically-Jewish units in those conflicts, notably the Zion Mule Corps, Jewish Legion, and Jewish Brigade Infantry Group.
