Gunner Christopher Douglas Heib was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1895, at Chelsea, the son of German-born parents Christopher, a bread baker, and Magdalena Heib (née Myers). At the time of the 1911 Census, Heib was working as a district messenger while living with his family at 37 Parkstone Road, Rye Lane.
Aged 22, Heib died on 8 October 1916, on the Western Front, while serving with the 14th Battery, Machine Gun Corps (Motors).
He is buried in Poperinghe Military Cemetery.
