Bandsman Constantino Giunta was an Italian sailor of the Royal Navy who died during the First World War.

He was born on 22 February 1874, in Pachino, Sicily, the son of Michael Angelo and Chiaramida Giunta, and later husband to Annita, of Malta. Giunta entered the navy in 1896, [1] consequently receiving the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, and was present at the Zanzibar expedition.

Giunta died on 31 May 1916, during the Battle of Jutland, when the armoured cruiser HMS Black Prince exploded, having being repeatedly shelled by German warships, with the loss of the entire crew of 857.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Plymouth Naval Memorial.
