Rifleman Luigi Cirillo ("Cyril") Rizzi was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1895, in Eastbourne, East Sussex, the son of Italian-born skin specialist Ferrante and Henrietta Rizzi, of London. At the time of the 1911 census, Rizzi was working as a clerk while living with his family at 21 Avenue Road.
Aged 20, Rizzi was reported missing on 8 May 1915, during the Second Battle of Ypres, while serving with the 1/12th (County of London) Battalion (The Rangers), The London Regiment. He had been on the Western Front for six months.
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Menin Gate Memorial.
