Dan Glassman

Private Daniel ("Dan") Glassman was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1896, at Northampton, the son of Polish parents Lazarus, a shoemaker by profession, and Deborah Glassman. At the time of the 1911 census, the younger Glassman was working as a shoe machinist while living with his family at 46 Hood Street.

Glassman died on 15 June 1915, on the Western Front, while serving with the 1st Battalion, The Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. He had first arrived in France in November 1914.[1]

He is buried in the First D.C.L.I. Cemetery, The Bluff, Belgium.
