Corporal David Domenico Bastiano (or Bastiani) was a Welsh soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1893, in Swansea, the son of Italian plaster of paris modeller Pietro and Annie Bastiano (née Sessarego), of Hereford, England. On his enlistment in March 1915, Bastiano was working as a collier and living at 27 Cecil Street, Neath.
Bastiano died on 1 August 1917, of wounds received in the Third Battle of Ypres, while serving with the 17th (Service) Battalion (2nd North Wales), The Royal Welsh Fusiliers. He had arrived on the Western Front in December 1915.
He is buried in Bleuet Farm, Belgium.
