Pilot Officer David Bruce Bridger was an Argentine airman of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died during the Second World War.
He was born in Lomas de Zamora, Argentina, the son of Alexander George and Adeline Bruce Bridger, both of whom had been born in Uruguay.
Bridger served as a pilot in 164 Squadron, part of Fighter Command and composed predominantly of Argentines of British descent. He died on 23 August 1942, aged 21, when Supermarine Spitfire P9563 crashed in the Orkney Islands.
He is buried in Sandwick Cemetery, Orkney.
