Private Domenico Pompa was a soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in Italy, the son of parents Antonio, a confectioner when in Scotland, and Cristina Pompa. The family later settled in Edinburgh.
Aged 28, Pompa died on 5 October 1918, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with the 5th/6th Battalion, The Royal Scots (Lothian Regiment). He had formerly belonged to the Royal Scots Fusiliers.
He is buried in Brie British Cemetery.
