Private Edward Albert Gellert was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1888, at Bradford, the son of German-born parents Bruno, a merchant, and Rosa Gellert.
Aged 27, Gellert died on 19 December 1915, during the first German phosgene attack on the Western Front, while serving with "C" Company, 1/6th Battalion, The Prince of Wales's Own (West Yorkshire Regiment).
He is buried in Essex Farm Cemetery.
