Isaac Polikoff

Private Isaac Polifkoff was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1898, in Woolwich, the son of Russian-born tailor Morris and Annie Polikoff, of London. At the time of the 1911 census, the Polikoff family were living at 223 Brunswick Buildings, Goulston Street.

Polikoff died on 18 April 1918, during the German Spring Offensive, while serving with the 1/5th Battalion, The Prince of Wales's Own (West Yorkshire Regiment) on the Western Front. He had enlisted in 1917 and formerly belonged to a regiment of hussars.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Tyne Cot Memorial.
