Private Francesco Amilcare Vanoni was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1895, at Westminster, the son of Italian-born restaurant keeper Francesco Carlo and Caroline Dorothy Vanoni (née Wrigley), of Manchester. At the time of the 1911 census, Vanoni was working as a jeweller's apprentice while living with his family at 171 Oxford Street.
Vanoni died on 7 September 1916, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with "D Company", 2/14th (County of London) Battalion (London Scottish), The London Regiment.
He is buried in Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension.
