Rifleman Fritz Edward Henry Ewald was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1897, in Barnet, the son of German shipping agent Henry and Rosina Ewald (née Brixey), of Dovercourt. At the time of the 1911 census, Ewald was a boarder at Herne Bay College, in Kent.
Ewald died on 26 January 1917, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with the 1/5th (City of London) Battalion (London Rifle Brigade), The London Regiment.
He is buried in Merville Communal Cemetery Extension.
