Trooper Gregoire Leo Alyanak was an Indian soldier of the British Army who died during the Second World War.
He was born in India, the son of Turkish-Armenian Armenak and Elizabeth Alyanak.
Aged 23, Alyanak died on 26 March 1944, during Operation 'Thursday' - the second Chindit expedition into Japanese-occupied Burma - while serving with the 45th Reconnaissance Regiment, Reconnaissance Corps.
He is buried in Taukkyan War Cemetery.
