Trooper Harold Avedis Avedikian was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the Second World War
He was born on 9 March 1921, in Marylebone, the son of Turkish-American parents Stephen Sahag, an importer and exporter of carpets, and Mathilde Avedikian (née Elmassian).
Avedikian died on 15 June 1942, of wounds received during the Battle of Knightsbridge, while serving with the 4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) in the Western Desert Campaign.
He is buried in Tobruk War Cemetery, Libya.
