Rifleman Harold Friedman was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1898, in Hull, the son of Russian-born parents Joseph, a tailor by trade, and Lilah Friedman. At the time of the 1911 Census, Friedman was living with his family at 16 Portland Place.
Friedman died on 25 August 1918, on the Western Front, while serving with the 9th (County of London) Battalion (Queen Victoria's Rifles), The London Regiment, attached from the King's Royal Rifle Corps.
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Vis-en-Artois Memorial.
