Private Harry Simon Benjamin was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1893, in Leeds, the son of Lewis, a travelling draper of Pontypool, and German-born Sophie Benjamin (née Harris). At the time of the 1911 census, Benjamin was working as a tailor's machinist while living with his family at 24 Grove Terrace, Camp Road.
Benjamin died on 9 May 1917, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with the 7th (Service) Battalion, The Norfolk Regiment. He had first arrived in France in May 1915.
He is buried in Duisans British Cemetery, Etrun.
