Private Harry Bernstein was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1891, in Stockport, the son of Warsaw-born Polish parents Reuben, a tailor cutter by profession, and Kate Bernstein. At the time of the 1911 census, the younger Bernstein was working as a tailor's machinist while living with his family at 126 Chestergate.
Bernstein died on 12 August 1918, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with the 15th Battalion, The Cheshire Regiment. He had enlisted in December 1915.
He is buried in Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille.
