Private Gottfried Henry Dietz was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1892, in Wigan, the son of German-born parents George, a butcher, and Lena Dietz. At the time of the 1911 Census, Dietz was working as a tailor's presser while living with his family at 86 Prescot Street.

Dietz died on 27 July 1918, on the Western Front, while serving with the 17th (Service) Battalion (1st South East Lancashire), The Lancashire Fusiliers.

He is buried in La Clytte Military Cemetery, Belgium.
