Private Hermann Edward Dietrich was a Scottish soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born on 2 January 1900, in Ayr, the youngest son of German-born hairdresser Herman and Elizabeth Dietrich (née Dobson), of England. Dietrich attended Ayr Academy and enlisted on 1 March 1918, in the Royal Scots.
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Soissons Memorial. According to De Ruvigny, Dietrich was buried south-south-west of Baigneux.
