Private Hyman Herbert Farber was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1899, in Prestwich, the son of Russian-born parents Morris, a steamship and railway builder, and Frieda Farber. At the time of the 1911 census, the Farber family were residing at 66 Cheetham Hill Road.
Aged 19, Farber died on 14 September 1918, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with "B" Company, of the 20th Battalion, The Durham Light Infantry.
He is buried in Esquelbecq Military Cemetery.
