Private Hyman Leitz was a soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in Vilna, Lithuania, in the then-Russian Empire, the son of Herman and Golda Leitz, clothes dealers when in Britain. At the time of the 1911 census, the Leitz family were residing at 17 Eva Street, in Neath, Wales..

Leitz died on 10 August 1917, during the Third Battle of Ypres, while serving with the 11th (Service) Battalion, The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) on the Western Front.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Menin Gate Memorial.
