Issey Shibko

Corporal Issey (Israel) Shibko was a Welsh soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1882, in Cardiff, the son of Polish-Russian parents Abraham and Etty Shibko (née Friedberg).

Shibko died on 18 September 1918, during the Battle of Doiran in the Salonika theatre, while serving with the 11th (Service) Battalion, The Welsh Regiment.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Doiran Memorial.
