Steward John Bartolo was a Maltese sailor of the Royal Navy who died during the Second World War.

He was born the son of Emanuel and Carmela Bartolo, of Sliema, Malta.

Bartolo died on 14 October 1939 when the German U-boat U-47 torpedoed the Revenge-class battleship HMS Royal Oak, anchored at Scapa Flow, with the loss of 833 men.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Plymouth Naval Memorial.
