Private John Maurice Preston Kinberg was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1898, in West Ham, the only son of Norwegian-born dock labourer Johan Marius and Alice Kate Kinberg (née Parfrey), of London.

Kinberg died on 27 June 1918, of wounds received on the Western Front, while held by Germany as a prisoner of war.[1] He had been serving with the 13th (Service) Battalion, The Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment).

He is buried in Lille Southern Cemetery.
