Private John Tenchio, born Giovanni Luigi S. Tenchio, was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1897, in Bethnal Green, the son of Italian-born Sebastiano, a carman of mineral water, and Margaret Elizabeth B. Tenchio (née Goddard), of Ramsgate. At the time of the 1911 census, the Tenchio family were residing at 2 Blackshaw Alley, Rushey Green.

Tenchio died on 10 February 1917, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with the 12th (County of London) Battalion (The Rangers), The London Regiment.

He is buried in Merville Communal Cemetery Extension.
