Private John Trepenaitis (or Trepenaites), who served as Trett, was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1898, in Bethnal Green, the son of Lithuanian-born parents Peter, a cabinet maker, and Marie Trepenaitis.
Aged 15 or 16 (well below the minimum required for overseas service), Trepenaitis died on 4 May 1915, on the Western Front, while serving with the 1st Battalion, The King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment).
He is buried in Hazebrouck Communal Cemetery, France.
