Serjeant John Demetrius Zeverona was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1881, in Liverpool, the son of Greek mariner Demetrius and Esther Zeverona (née Harris), of the area. In 1904, the younger Zeverona married Ellen Josephine Hart.

Zeverona died on 12 April 1918, of wounds received on the Western Front, whle serving wiith 4th Battalion, The King's (Liverpool Regiment). He had enlisted in September 1914 and was sent to France the following July. His son, Albert, a sapper in the Royal Engineers, died in the Second World War, in September 1942.

He is buried in Lapugnoy Military Cemetery.
