Private Joseph Azuz was a soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in Jerusalem, in the Ottoman Empire (present-day Israel), the son of Isaac and Mirium Azuz
Aged 19, Azuz died on 4 July 1918, during the Sinai and Palestine Campaign against the Ottomans, while serving with the 39th (Jewish) Battalion, The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) -— one of a number of battalions collectively referred to as the Jewish Legion.
He is buried in Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
