Corporal Joseph Paul (Paolino) Portelli was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1896, in Sheerness, the son of Paulino, a Maltese bandsman of the Royal Navy, and Elizabeth Jane Portelli (née Williams), local to the area. At the time of the 1911 census, the Portelli family were residing at Melilae Villa, Invicta Road.

Portelli died on 26 September 1915, on the Western Front, while serving with the 3rd Battalion, The Worcestershire Regiment. He had arrived in France in the February.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Menin Gate Memorial.
