Lieutenant Karl Johan Johansen was a Norwegian officer of the Royal Navy who died during the Second World War.
He was born the son of Johan and Ovidia Johansen, of Norway.
Aged 40, Johansen died on 29 January 1942, when the German U-boat U-431 torpedoed and sunk the converted minesweeper trawler HMS Sotra off Egypt, with the loss of its 22 crew (including five other Nowegians).
Johansen, who married Henny, has no known grave and is commemorated by the Lowestoft Naval Memorial.
