Private Leonard Baronowitch was a soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in Galati, Romania, the son of Jacob and Ida Baronowitch. At the time of the 1911 census, the Baronowitch family, the head of whom was dealing in haberdashery, were residing at 272 Queen's Road, Plaistow. On his enlistment, he gave his place of his birth as Stepney, Middlesex.

Aged 19, Baronowitch died on 31 July 1917, on the opening day of the Third Battle of Ypres, while serving with the 1st Battalion, The Worcestershire Regiment on the Western Front.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Menin Gate Memorial.
