Private Lewis Carp was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in Stepney, the son of Russian-born parents Abraham, a tailor presser by trade, and Katie Carp. At the time of the 1911 Census, the Carp family were residing at 81 Wilkes Street, Spitalfields.
Aged 20, Carp died on 9 October 1917, during the Third Battle of Ypres, while serving with the 1/4th (Hallamshire) Battalion, The York and Lancaster Regiment.
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Tyne Cot Memorial.
