Band Corporal Luigi Ungaro was an Italian sailor of the Royal Navy who died during the First World War.

He was born on 20 September 1875, in Milan,[1] the son of Pasquale Ungaro and Carolina Mastrizzi, and entered the Royal Navy in 1894.[1]

Ungaro died on 31 May 1916, during the Battle of Jutland, when the armoured cruiser HMS Black Prince, sank with the loss of all hands. He had earned the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, awarded to those who had been in the Navy for 15 years.

Ungaro, who married Concetta, of Malta, has no known grave and is commemorated by the Plymouth Naval Memorial.
