Lance Corporal Maurice Zeiler was a Welsh soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1894, in Neath, Glamorgan, the son of Russian-born parents Philip, a clothier and outfitter, and Sarah Zeiler. At the time of the 1911 census, Zeiler was living with his family at 66 Briton Ferry Road.
Zeiler died on 14 May 1917, on the Western Front, while serving with the 1st Battalion, The Royal Welsh Fusiliers. He had enisted on 12 December 1915, in Cardiff, where he was resident at 47 Richmond Road.
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Arras Memorial.
