Private Olaf Stanley Olson was a Welsh soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1896, in Swansea, the son of Norwegian-born Alexander, a fuel shipper in 1911, and Elizabeth Olson, of Newport. At the time of the 1911 Census, Olson was working as a junior clerk while living with his family at 5 Grove Place.
Olson died on 15 September 1916, in the Ypres area of the Western Front, while serving with "D" Company, 14th (Service) Battalion (Swansea), The Welsh Regiment.
He is buried in Essex Farm Cemetery.
