Able Seaman Oswald Howard Allison was a South African sailor of the South African Naval Forces who died during the Second World War.
He was born the son of Oswald and Mabel Allison, of Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, and later husband of Phylis.
Aged 35, Allison died on 8 July 1940, when Italian aircraft bombed and damaged the light cruiser HMS Gloucester in the Mediterranean, with the loss of 16 other crew, including Captain Frederick Garside.
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Plymouth Naval Memroial.
