Private Pietro ('Peter') Capitelli was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1894, in West Ham, the son of Italian-born Guiseppe, a labourer for a colour works, and Mary Ann Capitelli, of Stratford. At the time of the 1911 Census, Capitelli was also labouring while living with his family at 4 Hartland Road.

Capitelli died on 22 October 1916, during the Somme Offensive, while serving on the Western Front with the 2nd Battalion, The Essex Regiment.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Thiepval Memorial.
