Corporal Rene Gautier was a French-born soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born c. 1890, in Paris, the son of Fernand, a moulding maker, and Adele Gautier, who would settle in England by 1891. At the time of the 1911 Census, Gautier was working as a wood moulder while living with his wife, Emily Louisa Wragg, and daughter at 72 Quilter Street, Bethnal Green. On enlistment, he claimed his place of birth to be Spitalfields.

Gautier died on 8 August 1915, in the Battle of Chunuk Bai, while serving with the 7th (Service) Battalion, The Gloucestershire Regiment in the Gallipoli Campaign.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Helles Memorial.
