Rifleman Robert Alan Petzsche was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1887, in Shoreditch, the son of German-born William Robert, a manufactuer's agent for toys, and Kate Charlotte Petzsche (née Allan), of East Meon. At the time of the 1911 census, Petzsche was working as an ecclesiastical commissioner while living with his family at 24 Forest Drive West.
Petzsche died on 14 April 1917, during the Arras Offensive, while serving with the 1/16th (County of London) Battalion (Queen's Westminster Rifles), The London Regiment on the Western Front. He had married, in 1914, to Elsie Davis.
He is buried in Bootham Cemetery, Heninel.
