Flight Sergeant Ronald Eric George Waltrich was an English airman of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died during the Second World War.
He was born in 1921, in Hackney, the son of Hungarian hairdresser Janos and Marie Charlotte Therese Waltrich (née Friedrich), of Germany.
Waltrich, serving as a pilot in 196 Squadron, died on 21 September 1944, when his Short Stirling (LJ928) crashed at Heveadorp while engaged on a resupply mission in support of Operation Market Garden. He had married Thelma Teasdale in 1943.
He is buried in Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery.
